What if you are not Vaccinated: Know the Consequences !

By now, we all are how covid-19 has taken us off guard by its massive destruction to life, health, and safety. We saw a period of doom where lives were dramatically getting lost whole, we remained helpless with no clue how to survive. From flooding emergency rooms to people dying helplessly on the outside of hospitals and medical facilities, every breath we inhaled held a sense of fear and trauma. According to World meter, the Coronavirus has infected approximately 24.4 Cr and taken lives of approximately 4.96 Lacs.

Families who witnessed the deaths of their loved ones as well as the health care workers who remained powerless in this time of need were steadily getting traumatized. From a study

carried out by the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 60% were found to be at higher risk of mental disorders among the age group of 18 to 24 years of age.!

Contraction of illness: Vaccines allow the formation of antibodies that help to fight a specific disease. Supposedly, if a child gets measles or is exposed to the actual disease, but has not received vaccination yet, it is almost certain that they will develop the disease.

  • Symptoms of many diseases that can be prevented by vaccines, when mild or severe, can last up to several weeks and eventually cause death.
  • Even the health care members and family members stand at the risk of transmitting the infection further if not properly vaccinated.

Spreading the disease: When you do not get vaccinated, you stand the chances of spreading infectious diseases to others and no one will appreciate you for doing that. Instead, you will be held responsible. In the case of infectious diseases, herd immunity is required which refers to immunization of a vast majority. This infection can be minimized only by vaccinating the number of people who stand the risk of catching the disease, thus diminishing the power of infection is required.

Isolation:Another consequence of contracting a serious communicable illness is isolation and quarantine. When you contact a serious illness, you are instructed to isolate yourself to refrain from further transmitting the disease. This is a bigger problem when you are left alone, away from your family, in a ward with only health care officials. Your family members will not be allowed to meet you because of fear of contracting the disease.

A piece of short and brief information has been made on how vaccination is essential to achieve herd immunity. Vaccination can have side effects but it is better than actually acquiring the disease, spreading it to your loved ones, and dying from it. Vaccination does not determine the essence and longevity of your life alone; it determines the longevity of your loved ones a well.
